La Festa del Grafisme a été un événement assez émouvant. Il s'agissait de la première édition et, avec l'incertitude que ceci implique toujours, les résultats ont été extraordinaires.

Le nombre d'assistants a surpassé les spectatives mais sans déborder la Festa. L'offre pour faire nuit à Portbou est restée totalement couverte. Les gens et les commerces du bourg ont fini satisfaits et on a remarqué une embryonnaire participation des habitants en activités qui majoritairement étaient pleines de professionnels ou étudiants de graphisme.

Les assistants graphistes —venus principalement de Barcelone mais aussi des contrées prochaines, même de l'autre côté de la frontière— ils ont vécu avec beaucoup d'illusion un événement en un village éloigné, en une ambiance de liberté, informelle, hors de le quotidien, professionnel —évidemment— et pensé aussi bien pour la réflexion que pour la récréation et la relation.

L'esprit "slow", avec un air de rencontre de fin de vacances et, même, avec une radiation de fond hippie (hippie contemporaine) ont bien combiné avec une certaine dynamique d'université d'été pour donner une ambiance très magique, tel qu'ils ont exprimé beaucoup des assistants.

Toute une déclaration pour une manière d'apprendre, montrer, comprendre et partager qu'il faut récupérer et multiplier. Aussi, un bon laboratoire pour expérimenter de nouvelles manières du graphisme et du design pour s'expliquer et communiquer avec la société de celle qui s'est éloignée.

The Festa del Grafisme 2008 has been a quite exciting event. It was their first edition and, with the uncertainty that this always implies, the results were extraordinary.

The number of assistants overcame the espectatives but without overflowing the Festa. The supply for stay overnight in Portbou came off totally covered. The people and the trades of the town ended satisfied and an incipient participation of inhabitants in activities that were mostly full of professionals or students of graphism was sensed.

The assistant graphic artists —come mainly from Barcelona but also from the nearby regions, even from the other side of the border— they lived with a lot of illusion an event in some remote village, in a freedom, informal environment, out of the daily routine, professional —obviously— and thought for the thinking as well as for the amusement and the relationship.

The "slow" spirit, with a flavour of meeting at the end of holidays and, even, with a hippie background radiation (contemporary hippie) matched with a certain dynamics of summer university to give a very magical environment, as they have expressed many of the assistants.

A main declaration of a way to learn, to teach, to understand and to share that is necessary to retrieve and to multiply. Also, a good laboratory to experience new ways of graphism and design to explain itself and to communicate with the society that has kept on going away.
